My wife and I have studied at NUMA for 4 weeks and it was surprisingly good! The different environment and the teacher rotation were interesting, made us leave the comfort zone of getting used to one teacher only. It worked very well for both of us and we would definitely return for more classes in future! I will finalize with a big thanks to NUMA and all the teachers we’ve worked with, it was memorable and we are missing it already! Á bientôt!
I signed up for 6 weeks of French lessons. Initially I though I must have been crazy, but I soon settled into an enjoyable and productive rhythm. The first lesson of the day is vocabulary, next is grammar and finally conversion. This worked very well for me as a way of revising my French and progressing to a higher level. The classes were small groups of 2-4. I found the teachers to be knowledgeable, approachable and friendly, not at all afraid to discuss and look up points that they themselves were not sure of. The set up works well for adults who want to improve their French communication. It’s not an exam-prep – there is plenty of that on-line and there is no writing. You get plenty of chances to talk and I recommend revising the new vocabulary of the day and investigating the next day’s grammar. For me the only negative point was the uncomfortable chairs, my back is only now beginning to recover! Jon

Passei bons meses nessa escola. Não foi minha primeira tentativa de estudar francês, mas foi a que deu mais certo para mim (depois de mais de uma década de desistência). O fato de se concentrarem mais em desenvolver as habilidades de expresso, e não necessariamente na morfologia e gramática durante 3 horas, foi crucial para mim. Claro que se estuda mas as aulas vo além. Cada aluno é avaliado de maneira individual dentro do grupo. <The fact that they focused more on developing speaking skills and not necessarily on morphology and grammar for 3 hours was crucial for me. Of course you study, but the classes go beyond that. Each student is evaluated individually within the group.
They have a flexible teaching method that is more customized for the students in each class. Also, there are three different teachers each hour who rotate each week, so you get to know all the teachers and their teaching styles. Also, there is a very fun atmosphere; everyone makes friends here pretty quickly.
The best system of ensino that I have seen Sem teste e cada aluno tem uma atencao diferciada. <Best teaching system I have ever seen. There are no tests and each student has differentiated attention. Os professores sao os melhores, vou sentir falta.
The school is run very professionally, and all interactions with them were smooth and easy. The teachers are committed and knowledgeable—not just about the languages they teach but about how to teach and learn languages. I can't recommend them highly enough!
